The Problem

We went down a rabbit hole and found 3 key uncomfortable patterns.

They explain why so many “healthy” breakfast products in India still don’t feel like the right way to start your day.

Investigation — 3 Findings
01
Finding 01

“No refined sugar” does not mean no sugar.

A product can say “no refined sugar” on the front and still be sweetened with jaggery, dates, honey, malt, syrups, or fruit concentrates. So technically, the brand did not use white sugar, but your breakfast is still being made sweet through another source.

02
Finding 02

Your body does not care how natural the sugar sounds.

Sugar, jaggery, dates, honey, and syrups may sound different on a label, but once they enter your body, they still contribute to the sugar load of your meal. When you start your morning with a sweetened breakfast, your energy can go up quickly, come down quickly, and leave you hungry again by mid-morning.

03
Finding 03

Sweet breakfast keeps you stuck in a sweet-first habit.

When your everyday breakfast is built around sweetness, your taste buds start expecting that sweetness every morning. Cereal, oats, muesli, and bars then become less about starting your day right and more about satisfying a sweet craving first thing in the morning.

Our Answer

So we built Proskii around one clear decision: zero added sugar.

We did not want to make another breakfast product that sounded sugar-free on the front and had jaggery, dates, or malt inside.
We wanted to build a breakfast that was high in protein, tasty, and genuinely zero added sugar.
These principles became the foundation behind Proskii.

01
Principle 01 — No Sugar Rebranding

No refined sugar. No jaggery. No dates. No malt.

We did not use white sugar, jaggery, date sugar, malt, syrups or fruit concentrates.

Because for us, zero added sugar should mean zero added sugar.

02
Principle 02 — Taste Without Added Sugar

We chose taste without added sugar .

Most breakfast products use sugar, jaggery, dates, honey, or malt because sweetness makes repeat consumption easier. We chose approved sweeteners instead because we wanted Proskii to taste good without adding sugar in any form.

03
Principle 03 — Morning Matters

Your first meal should not be built around added sugar.

A sweet breakfast can feel satisfying for a short while, but it often brings you back to the same mid-morning cycle of hunger, chai, biscuits, and random snacking. We built Proskii to help people break that cycle with a high-protein, zero-added-sugar breakfast that is easy enough to eat every day.
